We,
Good Shepherd sisters, are an international religious congregation
of the Catholic Church. It is formed by almost 5.000 sisters serving
in more than 65 countries in 5 continents.
As community called to a reconciliation mission, “we express
our gift of merciful love through both contemplative and active
life at the same time” (Constitutions art. 1). There are
many secular associates walking with us as friends, volunteers,
benefactors in the way of developing the Good Shepherd gifts.
Nowadays and following our tradition, we lead our service especially
to women and children wounded by their marginalized conditions
of life.
We attend people in need and work webs with other organizations
and groups to change unfair society structures. In our “religious
language” our service is called “minister” or
apostleship.
