- Working with GSF has meant a lot to me because I have been
able to serve the poorest, most marginated and needed Colombian
women through the gifts God has given to me. MVH
- Working with the GSF has made me feel useful to society and
has filled the emptiness of my heart. RP
- My name is Victoria, I am 29 years old. I have lived a not
very exciting, but conflictive life. Since I was a little girl,
I had to understand that playing wouldn’t be a good choice
for me because I had to help my mother with all the home chores
and the caring of my brothers and sisters. For my mother wasn’t
easy to do everything by herself. When I was thirteen years
old, my mother died and we, all her children, were separated
and sent to different foster homes. We grew up without seeing
each other for thirteen years. When I was fifteen years old
I met a young man who was fifteen too. I got pregnant and had
a baby boy that means a lot to me. The baby’s father went
away from me and in order to survive and raise my child I became
a prostitute and worked as it for four years, time in which
I was abused and mistreated a lot. I met then Good Shepherd’s
sisters. They taught me to be aware of my own great value. They
trained me in using industrial sewing machines. Now I work in
a company where I received a fair salary for a worthy job. This
was possible due to Godfather’s plan because a kind person
supported me until I was prepared to get a suitable job. I give
thanks to God because He gave me this wonderful chance and I
ask God that many women can have the opportunity I had. VE
